Find the interval between two 24-hour times
with an explicit day choice.

Same day · exact position on a 24-hour clock axis

Clock arithmetic only. No date, time zone, daylight-saving adjustment or break deduction.
An earlier end time needs Next day selected; it is never assumed automatically.

Questions, Answered.

Why must I choose Same day or Next day?

The choice states the end day explicitly. An earlier end on the same day is invalid. Next day adds exactly one nominal calendar day; it does not choose the shortest span automatically.

What if the start and end times match?

Same day gives zero minutes. Next day gives 1440 nominal minutes, or 24 hours.

Does this account for daylight-saving changes?

No. This is wall-clock arithmetic without dates, time zones or daylight-saving changes. A real dated interval across a clock change can differ.
